Techno?

Pretty good, but it's def not New Wave.

I'm liking the arps here

BlackViolet responds:

Thanks for the review :D

Well, there's not many options to classify the songs and I'm not fond of eletronic music definitions so it's my bad :D

Well done, but not original

The music sounds professional, so that's a plus, but it just isn't very interesting to hear the same chord progression in half of your songs.

Try some chord progressions that aren't based on fifths.

Other than that, the technical aspect was fine

F-777 responds:

You mean my arps? They are based on fourths =P. Anyways thanks!

Chiiilllll

That's what I think of. Especially with the soft sidechaining.

Nicely done remix!

5'd.

Mo-Tech responds:

Someone on NG can actually recognize sidechained compression! That is a pleasant rarity. :P

Thanks for the review, nal.

Holy. Hell.

Podcast contest? What?

The contest is already over. The winner is here. The winning song is now.

Let there be rejoicing!

(Good Job)

Rig responds:

I've heard some other good entries...let's not wrap it up yet :)

Like the guitars!

Did you record this live? It's very well mixed.

Keep it up!

CyborgStalker responds:

Yes! Thank you Nal!

Sad and beautiful

Has that same feel that American Beauty gave me when the guy was filming the girl.

5'd.

WritersBlock responds:

Thanks. I'm glad you liked it, in a sad way.

I see

This being a potentially moving song, however some of the synths could use some work. I especially enjoy the little trills on the te of 3, those are nice. Have you considered putting a nice, soft beat to this to make it a little more.. techno?

I enjoy this as it is, just using some (hopefully) constructive criticism. :]

Hadriani responds:

I wanted to go for a non-basic style of synth. I'm quite satisfied with what I got, though.

And again, I think that making it more techno would kill the current mood the song's giving. When I made this tune I wanted to make something non techno/DnB/... Just something "general" and tried to made it a touching tune.

But like I said, if anyone wants to mix this, you're free to do so! :-)

Thanks for the review, I liked the constructive criticism! =D

Stephen Speaks

That's the name of the band

Jazza responds:

yeah i know
its in the shord description
thanx for the 10 :)

Great Demonstration of musical skills

I'm shocked that this song doesn't have more downloads. It's probably the most 'professional' sounding song i've heard on NG.

Rig responds:

Thanks a lot! Yeah, I'm not the most popular on here, but thanks for the support!

Good mix of techno/dance with R&B

The chord progression is most commonly used in dance, but it has an interesting twist in this song. Keep it up!

And the melody is KILLER! Would you mind me remixing, yes?

5'd

Check my stuff out also! :] http://www.newgrounds.com/audio/liste n/117774

Gnydsmelt responds:

Thanks man! Nope, i wouldn't mind as long as you give me some creds for the mix :]

Thanks again!
